Lancers to appear in new McDonalds Commercial

Stafford Lancers are to appear in the forthcoming McDonalds “Great Tastes of America” & “Americas Here” promotional campaign. After receiving confirmation that the production agency wanted Lancers to appear in the new television commercial; details were finalised and work started in putting together a 30 strong Corps of over 16s for the shoot. The campaign features various parts of British Life coming alive with American pageantry and colour. You will see The Lancers as part of mardi gras which hits an English suburb and High Street. Filming was shot on location in Lambeth and Streatham Common which meant an extremely early start, arriving on set for 8.00am. Corps Director, Dave Milton said “It was a fantastic day and everybody had a great experience in being part of this shoot for McDonald’s new campaign.”

Unik Star France @ IPE Championships UK

On Sunday, April 4th, Percussion Ensemble Unik Star France will compete at the Indoor Percussion Europe Finals in Crawley, United Kingdom. After years of competition at the Indoor Percussion Netherlands, Unik Star is going for the International Finals this year 2010. Unik star shows a big Field Percussion Line-up. The Field Percussion will show 7 Snares, 4 Sixtets and 5 Multiple Bassdrums. The Percussion Ensemble comes out with their performance in the International Marching Class Prelims that starts at 10:35 in the K2 Leisure Center in Crawley, UK.

Thailand International Marching Band Competition 2010

Thai Marching Band with the Department of Physical Education manage "Thailand International Band Competition 2010" (TIMBC 2010) under the certification of the World Association of Marching Show Bands (WAMSB) and Asia Pacific Bands Association. APBA will hold the contest during the 9-11 July at the National Stadium in Bangkok. This is the first time foreign Marching Band entries in Thailand. The Commodores Drum and Bugle Corps are both excited and proud to announce their 2010 production "Communication" Communication is a process of transferring information from one entity to another. Watch as the aesthetics of music and dance impart a telling story along the timeline of communication. See how the evolution of communication has been developed and mastered by mankind into the media types. From early day paper boys calling, “Read all about it” to Morse code, telephone, radio, TV and finally the internet.

New: The Company Performance Ensemble

THE COMPANY Performance Ensemble is a brand new marching arts organisation based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Its aim is to provide high quality instruction and performance opportunities to all its members, we are excited by the strength of the Staff and Design being assembled, in addition we have a strong Management team who will make sure that goals and aspirations are delivered from day one. THE COMPANY will be based at Priory Campus in Barnsley; this fantastic building will allow the Ensemble to forge close community links as we work to create a strong and well run organisation. Although based at the Priory, THE COMPANY will rehearse at various venues around the North of England.
